Reflections

I create accounts objects whose body is at the same time the theatre and the actor. Sometimes ornaments, these creations confronted with the body reveal it, forward its characteristics put, even its limits. Generally forsaking invaluable materials, I draw from the daily newspaper the components of my objects. It is while wanting to express the brittleness of the life and femininity through research on the contemporary jewel, that very quickly the natural elements integrated my materials of predilection. Fragile (plants), the poor (bone), diverted (peaks of sea urchins, … ), they find then a direction new, a strong poetic load which expresses the tension in turn, sensuality, the danger. These elements tell at the same time the transitory one and possible perenniality, they covered the aspect with the passing of years of what crossed my gastronomical and social road. It is with these frail remainders of the life, that I give the word. Diverting of their usual context, they take a new direction. They take again body in improbable juxtapositions, sometimes with the rupture limit, calling or evoking a body absent, dreamed. Traces of life, print of contradiction, oscillating between force and weakness, attraction and repulsion, pain and cherishes, sacrifice and offering.
